# Acumatica How to Create a Purchase Order

Learn how to create a purchase order in Acumatica. 

In general, the Purchase Orders form is the starting point for creating a purchase order, and employees can use this form to track the processing of the order. In Acumatica ERP, for processing most purchases, purchase orders of the*Normal* type are used. When you are creating a new order, you should first select a vendor and the vendor location.
