Already more than a month into 2023 and what a month it’s been for the Cloud 9 ERP Solutions team. Following a busy 2022, we were excited to take a couple days to head out to Vegas for one of our favorite events of the year—Acumatica Summit 2023 to celebrate the past year and learn what’s on the horizon.

Continued Growth and Awards
The opening keynote address featured Acumatica CEO John Case, who underlined the cloud ERP provider’s dedication to supporting SMBs as they face the challenges of today’s economy. Case noted that, despite the economic environment, Acumatica continues to grow, surpassing 10,000 customers. He credited the continued momentum to the Acumatica Community, which understands the needs of its customers.
Acumatica was recently recognized as a Champion in SoftwareReviews’ 2022 Emotional Footprint Report, Enterprise Resource Planning – Midmarket, which was based on real-user reviews. The report indicated that 100% of the customers surveyed plan to renew their Acumatica engagements, and 94% find Acumatica’s solutions important to their professional success.
Updated Customer Bill of Rights
Case also announced an update to Acumatica’s Customer Bill of Rights, which was initially published in July 2019. The new version expands on core principles to reflect the current business environment and the evolving organizational needs of today’s companies.
The Customer Bill of Rights includes practices customers deserve and should expect from software vendors, including clear fee structures, unlimited user licenses, pricing agreements without long-term commitments, complete ownership of and access to their data, a comprehensive security model and free training.
Acumatica 2023 R1 Preview
The product upgrades featured in the Day 2 keynote presentation at Acumatica Summit 2023 represent significant advancements in usability, intelligence and industry functionality designed to help companies grow in today’s challenging economic environment. 2023 R1 will be in beta on Feb. 2, with general availability planned for April.
The Day 2 keynote presentation featured how 2023 R1 application-wide improvements and features will enrich the functionality of Acumatica’s Industry Editions for businesses in critical areas, such as manufacturing, construction, retail-commerce and distribution.
The R1 release will also include the introduction of experimental and controlled release features enabling customers to test new capabilities and provide feedback. Features such as special orders for distribution and field service, Microsoft Teams integration and enhanced SendGrid templates will be available for users who sign up. Also included, based on customer feedback, is a native payment integration capability – providing credit card and ACH processing with better reconciliation, mobile portal payments, click-to-pay and gift cards – all due to be released broadly later this year.

The Cloud 9 ERP Solutions team appreciates all of our valuable clients and is committed to ensuring they get the most out of Acumatica. As a result, we hosted a Client Appreciation Dinner at this year's Summit. It was great to see everyone in person and we look forward to an even more successful 2023!
Acumatica and Cloud 9's commitment to diversity was front-and-center at Summit 2023 with the popular Women in Tech Luncheon and the newly added Women in Technology Networking Workshop and Reception, both led by leadership and motivational speaker Nada Lena Nasserdeen. Cloud 9 ERP Solutions is a great proponent for Women in Tech, and encourages our female professionals to grow within the organization.
Acumatica is constantly improving their Cloud ERP solutions based on the foundational belief that customers have the right to grow on their terms and control their own futures—finding the balance that works right for them. Individually, we all strive to reach that right level of balance in our lives, and Summit provided opportunities for attendees to achieve mental and physical rejuvenation. The Acumatica Community took advantage of the Monday morning yoga session, lead by Justine Crowley from Cloud 9 ERP Solutions, which included techniques for creating a sustainable mind, body, and soul connection.
